If you have recently attempted to start your computer only to find that it freezes at the welcome screen or worse yet presents you with a bright blue Windows fatal error screen, relax and know that your problem is simply that your operating system has lost a few important files. You can replace these files merely by reloading your Windows operating system version. However you must always recover crashed hard drive files prior to reloading you’re operating system. Reloading your operating system reformats your hard drive, basically wiping it clean and preparing it to start again.
You want to recover crashed hard drive files and store them on an external drive such as a large book drive or several USB flash drives. This first step is accomplished by loading onto your computer a file recovery disk. You can create this disc from a better quality installation package that is downloaded from the Internet. The file recovery disk will actually run your entire computer from its RAM using a special miniature Windows operating system. Another great advantage to using these systems is that should the file recovery disk fail to start your computer, you will have diagnosed your computer as having a more severe problem such as a failed motherboard. In this instance, you can still recover your lost files but you will need to remove your computer’s hard drive and connect that drive to a second computer.
